What size were they?

For my friends who, as with the Mohammed cartoons, want to see for themselves, here is a picture of the shot that Harry Whittington was hit with. The size used for quail is 7.5 to 8, between 1/7th and 1/8th the size of a "BB". ("BB" is actually a size, like "HO".) Reports are he was 30 yards away.

As long as you're learning stuff, the large shot in the bottom row is called "buckshot." It's calle d that because buckshot rounds can be used to hunt deer.
