Funny characters

Trying the "HTML keyboard." Here's a posting from Caffe Sole.
Or, should I say "... from Caffè Solè"?

Looks like I type string with funny phrases into the HTML keyboard, then
use cut-and-paste to put them into the "Edit HTML" tab.

Also, somehow, the blog knows what time it is, even though my computer's
clock seems not to. That, I don't get.
